Hummus/ Homus

Hummus is basically a dip/ spread made from chickpeas. Hummus is one of the most popular Middle Eastern dips. It is served with fresh or toasted pita bread

Ingredients:
1 cup of chickpeas (soaked and boiled)
½ cup hung Yogurt
4 tsp Tahini (sesame paste)
3 garlic cloves
Juice of two lemons
Water
Salt

Preparation:
1. Soak chickpeas overnight.
2. Pressure cook soaked chick peas, drain the water and keep it aside.
3. Grind together the cooked chickpeas, garlic cloves, sesame paste, curd and salt to smooth paste by adding little water.

Note:
1. You can also make hummus with sesame paste (tahini).
