French Fries

250g Potato
Oil for deep frying
Chilly powder

1. Cut the potatoes into strips.
2. Soak potatoes strips in ice water for 30 min’s (this step removes lot of starch and makes them less sticky while frying).
3. Drain well; pat dry with paper towels.
4. Heat oil in heavy bottom vessel (kadai).
5. Fry the potatoes in small batches until it become golden colour.
6. Place the French Fries on paper napkins to drain oil.
7. Add salt and chilly powder.
