Ingredients:
1 cup Channa Dal (kadala paruppu)
¾ cup Jaggery powder (less or more according to taste)
1 cup Maida (All purpose flour)
¼ tsp Salt
½ tsp Cardamom powder
Oil for frying
Preparation:
1. Soak the channa dal for 4 hours and drain the water.
2. Pressure cook channa dal and keep it aside.
3. Drain water and mash channa dal with spoon.
4. Mix jaggery, cardamom powder to mashed dal and mix well.
5. Make small lemon size balls and keep it aside.
6. Add little water,salt to Maida and make a batter (batter should not be so thick or thin).
7. Heat oil in a kadai, take a ball and dip it in the batter and deep fry till it becomes golden colour.
8. Place susiyam on paper napkins to drain oil.
